@jendren that survived the last ice age and is now in half the beds in a 30m x 7.5m polytunnel that I just started working in haha! I'll kill it eventually though, will just take years of digging, not using chemicals though!
I have this in my front garden 😔 I just kept hoeing it as recommended but is taking too long so going to put membrane and bark down. Apparently it doesn't like cultivated areas so the more you hoe and the more plants you have the less likely it will survive.
@anne8691 definitely true it doesn't like cultivated areas, it was barely in one of the beds that had strawberries in, then the next one was full, then barely in the garlic bed etc. Be wary of membrane and bark route, it can come up even through tarmac, and where we have membrane it's just burst through it, only membrane it hasn't got through is 2 layers of the real heavy duty stuff, so if you're doing it I'd do 2-3 layers before woodchip
It's something I would rather not resort to but as I'm no longer able to keep at it, I'm hoping it will make it easier to spot as it emerges. Thanks for the tip 👍
Oh god. Kill me.
Oh cripes Elliott 🔫😲
I hate this crappy weed, it springs up everywhere in my garden @hologramgarden
OH NO!! 😡😡

Chin up Elliott. Come on -you can do it. It’s only a pernicious invasive ugly weed 😱😱😱😱

I managed to get rid of ground elder with non stop digging out every time I saw it. The bad news - Took about ten years 😬
