Paeonia lactiflora 'Sarah Bernhardt'

I was always told that peonies don’t move well but these were transplanted from front to back at the end of the summer. I added grit to the soil a d made sure to not plant them too deep - loads of shoots on all three #peony #pink #transplant-success

I think the old wisdom not to move peonies has been debunked and a lot of gardeners now believe peonies are more robust plants than we give them the credit for. 😊 I moved 3 peonies earlier this year to my new garden and they all have new shoots. 🥰
