@pelly no Jane had it about 3 years now got a mix bag of fire n ice range you get one bicoloured this one one was pure white and other pure red 😊 keep meaning to add it to encyclopedia to catalogue pics better 😮

Despite been the wrong plant in the packet this pom pom #dahlia was the first to open this year and is still very giving now its been a beauty and its huge 💕💕💕😍

@Jasonsparkes1 I have about 3 that haven't flowered still yet Jason and hardly any buds so you are not on your own think a few of us are experiencing same this year, no idea why as one of mine was a beauty from last year so its strange, I'm going to blame the lack of heat n ☀ 😣😣

I've learnt I'm a bit of a neat freak Keely @juliesgarden I thought I wanted the natural look, but Im not so sure now. There seems to be a fine line between cottage garden look and jungle 😂

This one is likely to open while I'm away was one of my favs last year its fire n ice mixed red n white stripes, just hope neighbour remembers to water it as in today's heat its wilted in its pot 😊

The blooms seem to last ages, so you should still see it 👍

Often have same problem, when I need a lie-in at the weekend but still awake at 4.45am without the alarm clock! As for dahlias, mine seem to vary in quality & flowering ability from one year to the next, but I suppose variable weather & nutrient levels from one summer to another play their part?
