This is gorgeous! The one I had last year looked like the dark green leaves on this picture but I never saw the flowers because I got it on sale. It looks so fresh! 😍😍😍
@ublaszko thank you 😁 these are looking pretty healthy at the moment. Babies but survived the heat thankfully. Hopefully now they’ve been through the 2 extremes they’ll be strong enough for any weather!

My only remaining heathers. Sun killed my bigger ones 😔
So sorry to hear that Kerry.. 😕
@natii me too 😟 just overnight they all looked like they’d been bleached 😕 thankfully I’ve got these to fill the gaps. And I get to buy more 😂
Poor ones, I know how much you loved them 😕 But that's the right attitude, just think of all the new Heathers you can buy 😁😋
@natii and I might know the names of the new ones too 😆

These are loving the heat so much!
@KelsiBriana thanks Kelsi 😀 I love heathers, the way they change throughout the year is lovely to watch. So much varied colour and texture ❤️💚
@KelsiBriana I do repeatedly post about them 😂 they’re a plant well worth looking into 😁
I always thought that heathers are pretty when they're in flower, but rather unimpressive during the rest of the year. I was so wrong 😂 Beautiful colour 🙂
@natii they can look a bit unattractive if you leave them to get woody but mine are still babies yet so managing to keep them looking ok at the moment 😂 but they change colour so much and if you mix summer and autumn flowering ones there’s always something looking great 😄
Absolutely! And they look much better than just ok 😄😋
@natii thank you ☺️

I love the colour of this one 😊
@natii the sun seems to have changed it completely! I hope it’s new growth on its way to flowering 😍 love heathers 😋
I first saw heathers here on GTags just a few weeks ago. Didn't know them before. They're great, so many different varieties 😍 Thanks for sharing! Looking forward to hopefully see the flowers 😋
Ooh I just googled it to see the german name and realized that of course I know heather 😂🙈 But just the common ones, never seen so many different types 😂
@natii they’re beautiful aren’t they! I saw so many in the garden centre a while back and got addicted to them 😂 have 14 different ones now but some are very tiny still. I just love how they bring colour all year round and some flower through the winter too 😍 easy to maintain also, that’s always a bonus 🤣
Absolutely! I had no idea that the leaves are also so beautiful. Seems like I totally underestimated them 😂😋
@natii they’re quite surprising as they change through the seasons. I adore them ❤️

They look so pretty! All of them! Wish I could keep on alive 😅
@ublaszko thank you urszula 😀 one plant I manage to not overwater 😂 have you tried to grow many?
Two so far 😂😂 I seem to struggle with pruning them too short and killing them with kindness 😂
@ublaszko oh I know what that’s like 😂 I just remember that after flowering they’re to be cut just below the flower spike and I give them a quick shape then too. So far it’s worked 🤞🏼 hope you have success if you ever give them another try. They’re such lovely little plants
Well that's what I did except what was just supposed to be a quick shape turned into a killing stroke 😂😂😂 I must have been working out some issues on my heather 😂😂 I'm going to get the autumn or spring flowering ones. Not too bothered about the summer ones as already have plenty in flower now.
@ublaszko taking out your stresses on the heather 🤣🤣🤣 exactly, there’s enough about in the summer that flowers but the autumn ones are lovely for later colour, and being evergreen makes them so much more appealing

Does anyone know anywhere online that’s useful for id-ing heathers? #plantid
I can't say I do but I was surprised when I saw this. That's Heather? I thought. Although after a good while it does look like that. I go round at snip off the tips 😊😊
@midnightgardener it is heather 😊 and the pink parts are the beginnings of the flowers 😊
