@hkyfvr @gjones thank you both 😁 it seems to have a different leaf texture to any of my others. They’re very thick and glossy. Wonder if that makes it a little tougher 🤔

Most welcome Kerry. I think it does make a difference. Mine with the thicker leaves is tougher and the slugs seem to leave it alone 👍😁

Definitely looking slug proof, although the dry weather may also be keeping the slugs in check too?

@jeatacake would be like biting through an inner tube 🤣 the long spell without rain must have had an effect on them. Nothing can stay boggy enough to sustain them, surely 😜

I would not be surprised. I spent more time today squishing Japanese beetles on my roses. They were lounging on the flowers eating away. 😣 So many everywhere 😡

I am away camping and George sent a photo of 5 on 1 rose bloom. They are everywhere. He just deadheaded the roses as they are devouring them. They should be gone soon. 😡 @kez001uk

@hkyfvr it reminded me of your raspberry one so had to post 😛 are the flowers white on yours?

I thought the same thing. I think my flowers are purple. My newer one has the white flowers which are blooming now. Still need to plant my raspberry one in the ground before Winter. Have never had one in a pot over the Winter. 🤷‍♀️💚

@hkyfvr perhaps this could be the same as your raspberry one 🤔 it has purple flowers too! At least if you get it planted out it’s one less to worry about next spring 😛

It’s foliage looks different. Will post mine later. The ground takes so long to thaw here in Spring. Better to get it done now. 👍😍

See once i know they are yellowing and dying I dont find beautiful anymore. I'm super judgy and want plants to be perfect althhough I do like when trees change to fall color. I'm too much of a perfectionist when it comes to plants :(

@heatherdirtyhands I must admit I’ve never seen any of my Hostas at this stage before as I usually cut everything back before it has chance to look raggedy 😂 so I’m with you on wanting them to look perfect. But as I’ve left everything to die back naturally this year, it has been interesting to see the changes 💛💚

How strange. I'm no big hosta enthusiast (mainly because of the multitude of slugs & snails here) but I've never seen one flower like that 🤔

That’s a first for me, Kerry 😳 I can only assume that the flower spike hasn’t properly developed and so the flower buds are opening as best they can. Time for some research, I think! Thanks for the tag, Jane 👍 @pelly

@columbiariver it’s much bigger than any of my other 1st year hostas. The stems are gorgeous, just wish I’d have taken those bad leaves off before I took the photo 🤣

@sieveheadsarah they’re horrendous at replying to emails lately. Used to be a pretty instant thing. Been looking at the review section of the plant pages and seems they reply to negativity on there! If I get no joy that’ll be my next step. Will keep you informed also 😛 #justiceforthemislabeled

@lesliecole49 it’s just supposed to have a white edge but this isn’t showing any at all 😜

I got 12 free ones with an order last year, not a one was labeled of course. I gave 3 away and all those three are coming up looking solid green! Most of the ones I kept have verigation. One looks as tho it's going to be a big one!
