Ok so they are #courgette s 🤣 I don't have a clue how I missed them up. I gave my courgette plants away so they must have pumpkins 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Do I wait for them to just turn orange , eat them? Or just give them to the hens. They will be very woody now I would think 🤔

I was on a planting spree last weekend because I've been waiting for the nights to warm up until now. I planted out dwarf kidney beans, dwarf borlotti beans, celery, chillies (in patio pots), sowed more coriander (last ones died on me from crown rot 🤔). Still have cucumbers to plant out tonight and courgettes to go in the front garden lol I don't have an allotment but I'm turning my home garden into mixed borders with flowers and edibles growing side by side 😍

I'm off on holiday on Thursday for a month. So I figured everything would die whilst I was away. But in June I will sow some late courgettes and cucumbers . And I will try carrots and spring onions and beetroot and chard and radish and salad leaves. So I will grow some veg. But no peppers or aubergines or chilli or tomatoes.

Mmmmm, a question.... At what size does a courgette officially become a marrow? 🤔🥒

6w
comment
kimmy01

I think its a marrow now maybe when its bigger to form seeds? I don't know. But this actually still tasted just as good I've been making all sorts @jeatacake

They grow really quickly. I will be picking from mid June until well into September. To be honest it's a relief when the last one has been eaten !!!
