New to gardening, trying to achieve colour all year round in small suburban garden in Southampton. Like my gardens a little wild, not too neat...

Our bonsai isn't looking very healthy. The leaves are dropping off and drooping, and have little white specks on them. It recently had blackfly but these seem to have gone now. We keep it in the kitchen where it should benefit from damp and sunlight. Water a little every other day. Advice much appreciated as it was a birthday present for my partner and he loves it.

They look like #mealybugs Linda. Mild washing up liquid in water and spray daily. I'd quarantine it so they don't move onto another plant until you've got rid. 🙂

Hi thanks for your advice. The white specks aren't moving, i watched them for ages. Will the washing up liquid not damage the tree?? Many thanks
