I am lucky enough to live on 7 acres in the tranquil Adelaide Hills and thrilled to be a GT Ambassador .Here to help if I can π
@muzz Once they're "adults" they change leaves about once a year. (I don't actually know what makes them considered seedlings vs adults, whether it's time or size.) My seedlings change leaves 2-3x in the first year and slow down the bigger they get. As for branching off new heads, that varies a lot by species, so I can't predict. 🤷ββοΈ
@muzz As far as I know they don't necessarily have twins every year when they change leaves. I've only kept lithops for 11 months and 2 weeks so far so I'm still relatively a newbie. #alwayslearning
Ok good to know.You may have only started a year or so ago but you know far more than me about lithops ! Lol.I can see why they are addictive Ruth.Thanks again @sushiwaitress 😉
Only one of my ten became two. I've been told not to seperate them though. I don't water when they're changing leaves or between Mother's Day and Father's Day and in the other summer months only a teaspoon a fortnight. So far they are doing well.
Very happy with this little one @Yollymac .One became 2 ! #lithop
Ohhh uh!!!! That's so awesome!! You will.be addicted to them soon, no doubt!
It is so cool.Ive been so mean on the water lol .It was desperate to multiply lol @Yollymac 😉
That's good as you're not supposed to water them during the changing of the leaves. And not much in summer either.
@sushiwaitress Ruth here it is !😁
@muzz That's a cutie!
