I'm going to try to grow a red maple 🍁 from seed!

I've tried unsuccessfully. We have a Japanese maple in our yard. Every year it has around 50 little bitty maple trees. We've tried to transplant some, we've tried to leave some where they are and let grow. We've tried for 3 years. Nothing works. My husband now just mows over them with the lawnmower.🥴 if anyone knows of way, would love to know.

Attempting the air layering with the plastic balls for the first time. I added rooting hormone to the top one. I want to see if it has a dramatic effect on propagation. #japanese-maples #red-foliage
