New leaf 🍃 #progress #leaf #monstera #swisscheeseplant #newleaf #green
That will look fabulous in another day or so when fully unfurled & darker 💚💚
It will 💚 I love each stage of this one and I can’t wait for new leaf because the last one was assaulted by strong winds 😄 @jeatacake
Oh yes, I remember. With such big leaves, it must take them time & effort to produce new ones. Hopefully it will be able to enjoy plenty of calm weather from now on 🤞💚
I hope so too 🤞🏻some plants just don’t work out the way you expect but I’ll keep trying with this one until I get it right 😄💚 @jeatacake
I'm sure you will. I had one a long time ago. Of course here, they are house plants, but after several years it got far too big & unruly. I certainly found out where they got the "monster" from in monstera! 😂💚
That’s so true 💚 It’s a monster with those big leaves. I’m lucky to grow it outside but the only problem is the weather’s effect on those gorgeous leaves 🍀 @jeatacake
It's so Beautiful & strong new leaf! (Pls email me this)
If you have it in the shade & protected from any wind, it should be fine, so long as it's not too cold in winter outside 💚 I'd be happy for mine to have been a monster & throwing its weight around if it could have survived outside here! 😃
Thank you Yash 🍀 sure, I’ll email it tonight 👍🏻 I’ll be taking other pictures as it grows stronger and will send you its progress 😊 @kaporyash
Maybe that’s the good thing about our winter and I do love the monster leaves 😄 It has survived this winter outside but the wind has torn some of the leaves. I still don’t have an area shielded from the wind enough to put it in, but maybe I’ll think of something before next winter. I’m starting to play with the idea of getting another one planted in the ground and seeing how it will do there 🤔😄 @jeatacake
Maybe artificial physical barriers to stop the wind could be the answer, such as very fine gauge netting or mesh? Certainly having it grow in the ground makes shielding it more of an issue although it would grow much more strongly & monsterish I guess! 💚

Fascinating 💚💚💚
Thank you Jane 💚🌱 It’s the first leaf I’m watching up-close and it’s something different 😄💚 @pelly
It's classed as a house plant here, I had one many years ago so I suppose I must have seen it unfurl 🤔
I have search it for this plant every where but can't find it. You are truely lucky to have it ❣❤
It is as you say fascinating to see how the plant does it 🌱💚 @pelly
Really ? I didn’t know they’re scarce in your area 🤔 I hope you find one after all because they’re wonderful plants 😊 @mehwish
Very beautiful ❣️
Thank you Yash 💚 @kaporyash

Thank you, Katy ❤️❤️ I hope it is happy with us @gjones
Thank you Natalia 💚💚 @RedFuchsia
Thank you so much Angie ❣️❣️ @angiie
Thank you Shelley 💚 I hope it remains happy here and keeps giving big leaves 😄💞 @ShelleySnyder
Thank you, Jane ❤️ It has such a great presence in the garden 💚💚 @pelly
I’m so sorry to hear that, Leslie 💞 It’s such an incredible plant 💚 when I hear about the winter conditions in other countries, I just sigh with relief that I live in a good climate for so many plants 🌱 @lesliecole49
This is amazing

Happy Friday everyone 🤗 newly #repotted because it’s getting bigger. I have let do it’s thing for a while now and want some #advice on how I could possibly control its growth. If I should remove the leaves damaged by the wind and will others come out in their place? #plantadvice #plant-advice #adviceneeded #foliagefriday
Love these plants. I had a huge one in the house many years ago, but it got too big & kept falling over. Might be one to try in a Thai garden 🤔
I think it will sprout again from the leaf joints just below where it's been cut back 🤞
Thank you, Jeff 😍🥰 It’s a wonderful plant indeed and I think it would like the Thai garden even better. It’s the same problem I guess. If I don’t control this one it will eventually tilt the weight of the pot and fall down. I hope the removal of some leaves won’t have a bad effect on it 😁 @jeatacake
I'm sure it'll cope well if less than half its leaves are removed. I kept turning mine around to keep the weight evenly balanced. It was in a big pot, but the bigger the plant got the harder it was, in limited space, to turn it to keep it balanced. If I see one for sale over there, I'll get one 😊
That’s great advice, Jeff. I’m trying to do the same except that it’s too big to keep in the house so it will have to cope with the weather 😊 I hope you find one in Thailand and choose a good place for it. It’s really an incredible plant 💚 @jeatacake
You're very welcome Rula. I hope it copes with being outside , any really cold weathering may get over winter. I don't think they like full sun though. I have a spot in mind for it at the house in Thailand which is probably in 90% shade, when I find one of course! 😊
I have it her the shade and only filtered sunlight, so it will be fine. I hope it works out for you too, Jeff 🌱💚 @jeatacake
Thanks Rula 💚😊
Happy #fursday from Caramel the last of the kittens but the mommy cat is pregnant again 😓🤣 #swisscheeseplant #monstera #green
Caramel seems to like your Swiss Cheese plant & so might his future younger siblings soon! 😻💚
I can see why you call her Caramel 🐱
🙈🙈🙈 Love Caramel's coat though 😍😍😍
Oh I hope not Jeff 😅 she keeps playing with the end if the leave and creating small slashes in it 💚 but I hope the new kittens will make it through winter okay. I promised myself not to get too attached this time 😅 @jeatacake
Thank you Jane 🧡 my sisters didn’t get it at first 🤦🏻‍♀️ I was the only one to see the resemblance 😅 @pelly
I swear Urszula this mommy cat is the equivalent of a supermodel in the cat world. She gets pregnant twice per year 🤦🏻‍♀️ but she’s such a sweetheart 😄 @ublaszko
Same as my first cat. She had two litters of kittens every year and we eventually put her on the pill 😅 With Pudgy, we decided to spay her straight away, otherwise she would try to escape to get jiggy with it 😄😄 I love kittens though 😍😍 I'd love to foster kittens but it's heartbreaking when they don't make it without their momma. We lost a kitten 15 years and I still cry when I think about her 😢
Thank you Alif 😻 @alif
Well I guess that’s one way to do it 😁Feel the same way about loosing pets or having to give them us 😅 It’s just so hard so I try not to get to attached to them each time but they have a way of making themselves lovable 🐈❤️ @ublaszko
They develop their own personalities very early on. 😄😄 Pudgy was the shy one of the bunch so we chose her because we thought she'd be more comfortable as an indoor cat. One of her brothers on the other hand kept climbing out of the basket and we knew straight away he was the adventurous one 😂
It'll be hard to resist them! 😻
