Can you plant anything outside in the garden?

Gardens belongs to the landlord, @brightcolours. This garden is the front. It's paved and gets doused with weedkiller. The back one (view over the sink) has some plants, periodically viciously chopped back. Both gardens belong to the building of three flats. The pay-off for no outdoor plants is that the landlord cuts our huge lawn (an old drying green) with a ride-on mower.

If you want more lateral shoots then cut them back as they're quite leggy.

Be ruthless and they'll reward you with more growth. Although that pot isn't very big... and mints like lots of room...
