Took this guy out of the pot to check his roots and see why his baby leaves shriveled up annnnnd..... looks like his roots never really started growing again after he arrived at my house. Since he's practically a goner anyway I'm leaving him in a puddle of water overnight just in the very remote chance he might perk back up. Not holding my breath though. #lithops #livingstones #succulents #underwatered #rootrot #rip

I don't love taking photos at night, and especially with flash, but I didn't look at them at all today until the sun was down, and then I noticed this guy's baby leaves are a bit less than plump. Hope he makes it. #lithops #livingstones #succulents #pumice

Mr. Peach seems to have moved all his chlorophyll out of his old leaves and into his new leaves. He's definitely a different color than before. It's not just a camera setting or different lighting. He's in the same spot on the same windowsill. #hypothesis #lithops #livingstones #succulents #pumice

This guy started out a bit concave when he arrived. A tiny sip of water here and there didn't make any difference. Now that he's making new leaves maybe the new baby leaves are pushing up on the outer ones. In any case I noticed today that he's rounder than before. #lithops #livingstones #windowsill #succulent #apartmentgarden #pumice #plumpleaves

I don't usually take plant photos at night or with a flash because they don't look very flattering to either the plant or my photography skills, HOWEVER I noticed when I used the flash on this guy that his new baby leaves have some green in there deep down that I can't see during the daytime/without a flash. So, an exception, this One Time. #lithops #livingstones #windowsill #apartmentgarden #succulents #indoors

I am intrigued by that pink bump in there. A collapsing part of the outer leaf? (Probably.) Something else entirely??? (I'M DYING TO KNOW.) #lithops #livingstones #succulents #windowsill #apartmentgarden #indoors #lithops-id

Mr. Wrinkly is definitely up to something. He's not shut up as tight as he was before, and I think I can see a peek of what he's working on in there... 19.5mm wide #lithops #livingstones

I broke down and gave him about 2 tsp of water the day before I took this. I think he looks a bit little plumper now (Or am I imagining it?) #lithops

This guy has always been a bit wrinkly. It's winter so I'm afraid to water him. #lithops #livingstones
