Roots looked all dry when I tried trimming them, but I went ahead and put him in a hospital pot anyway. #lithops #livingstones #succulents #grittymix 15 Dec 2018

Most likely a goner, but I'm gonna try trimming the #roots and sticking it in a hospital pot all by himself because at this point, what's the worst that could happen? #lithops #rip #deadplant #dead 15 Dec 2018

I dumped a bunch of water on this guy last week and he expanded quite a bit. I'll have to measure him again. #lithops #livingstones #pumice #succulents

Well, I finally decided to clip away the shriveled outer leaves to make sure the new baby leaves could get out, and they just shattered and fell off, revealing this little guy inside. He's 9.5mm wide now. Lost roughly 1/3 of his size. #notdeadyet #lithops #lithops-id #livingstones #windowsill #apartmentgarden #succulents

I want to water this guy so bad!! Or help peel away the dried up leaves. SOMETHING. Poor guy he looks so stuck. I want to give him some sunshine! #lithops #livingstones #succulents #apartmentgarden #windowsill #indoors

Aww tbh I'm an impatient plant mommy and usually "help" the shedding process along. It's never killed one but I doubt it's the right thing to do!

I think I must have pierced the skin of this one somehow, accidentally, because the old leaves shriveled up in about a week. The new leaves seem to not have had a chance to suck up all the moisture in time. (I think i helped this one too much already :-/)

This photo is out of order. This was my first #lithops to start changing. Its little muppet mouth is starting to open.... #livingstones

Super shriveled these last couple days. Instead of new leaves swelling out of old, the old leaves collapsed around the new. Hope this isn't a bad sign. Is it time to water yet? It's still only (late) January, but this guy has been pretty active already. #advice appreciated. #lithops-id #lithops #livingstones

He's deflating pretty fast... I hope I didn't damage his leaves. #lithops-id #lithops #livingstones

Few weeks after I got him, he starts changing colors and showing new leaves. Love this peachy color! #lithops #lithops-id #livingstones
