@jeatacake @daisy-jane same monstera but before opening. Looks like some weird insect. Trunk lying on the ground, heads with a nose legs are stems and fruit as antlers.

That's one creepy looking insect 😵😵

Hence the Latin name.....Monster...a 😁

I have one of these as a houseplant Sussanah 💚

@daisy-jane have you eaten the fruit? I think it’s yuk. Dad loves them. Same with custard apples.

My plant is fairly young,it's just under 3ft high,i don't know if it would ever get fruit on it especially with our climate here 🙄😊

@daisy-jane not missing much

Lol that bad is it 🙄😁

Wow! Never seen one of these flower before 👍

@jeatacake the fruit tastes horrendous.

I cannot imagine what they would be like & certainly would be fearful of trying them even before what you said, lol! 😁

There's an entry in the plant encyclopedia for Monstera deliciosa if you want to change the plant name...

@brightcolours done. Not easily tho. The great disappearing act in the list strikes again. 🍄

Monsterio fruit.

#monstera #monsteradeliciosa

@brightcolours the fruit is a delicacy for my dad but it burns my lips and tongue 👅 feels prickly

I'm happy for him. I'm put off trying because you have to eat them at just the right time... Or else it may cause problems...

@brightcolours he's got it down to a fine art now. Like bloody custard apples. Yuk.

He can have those too!

Good pic 😊📷👏
