Just admiring the perfection before Jack frost kills it off! This is an #orange pompom dahlia really but the colour isn't really well reflected.

@Amanda66 the late summer colour they provide is fantastic and it's so cheap if you start from tubers although a little frustrating as they take ages to come to the stage of planting out! Give them a go they give you loads if colour!

Thanks @LadySmiff for the tip! My problem was that I bought a bag of cheap assorted tubers so I had no idea what I was planting or how big they were. It's been an exciting year to say the least! I think I have about 5 left to flower. I do love the dahlias though! 😃

@SylviaDavies the lucky dips are exciting aren't they?! I've put all my tulip bulbs from my containers into one string bag so next spring I'll have no idea what's coming up where!!

@ladysmiff That's the type of thing I do! I keep digging into daff bulbs that were planted before we came and they use to be neatly organised but now they are like today's population... Mixed race! 😃

No dahlia can be an unhappy colour. It's little face just makes you smile😀It's a good reminder that Autumn's closer than we care to think 😞
