This cutting has definitely got bigger since I started! I may be brave and sneak a peek at the roots 😮

Two of the #dahlia #cuttings have wilted pretty much completely but the third (and surprisingly largest) one still looks fresh, so #fingers-crossed ... Also have some #penstemon in there which are looking good.

These are pieces of #dahlia #tuber that had broken off in the pack and I potted them up just in case. Finally gave up on them today and threw one in the compost only to discover a healthy-looking set of roots! Guess they'll be taking up space on my bench for a bit longer then...

Doing my best to channel Monty! I suck at #cuttings but I made a special trip to get grit to see if I can increase my #dahlias... Hopefully now I didn't use too much!
Ah I love growing cuttings and waiting for them to take it's so great!
@fionn I've only ever managed to get them to take in water, but fingers crossed!
I will be rooting for you😂

Starting #dahlia in the porch so I can get them well started before they go out in the beds. This should be a pretty lot! #red
Planted out the #dahlia #cutting, it had a good strong looking root ball. Maybe the curse is lifted! 😁
