I'm thinking about adding some dinner plate dahlias @treefrog44 Any good tips for a first timer?

@saco last year was my first year! I started a few in pots and a few in the ground... they both did great! In our hot climate I made sure they got afternoon shade! Also I did not bury the tubers too deep, left the top exposed, some grew really tall, I was ready for that, and put tomato cages over them when they started putting out shoots, glad I did because they were loaded with flowers and would have fallen over!

Also @saco certain ones got hit with spidermites... neem oil and a dawn soap water mix took care of it!

No worries, no questions are bothersome 😉 yes, but certain ones, nor sure if it was the color or variety... the butterflies favored the white, and ones with yellow

Crème de Cassis is an excellent one 👌🏼 you will love it!
