Dicksonia antarctica

Growing under the corkscrew willow (Salix matsudana) and over the arum lilies (Zantedeschia aethiopica), we have a riverbank full of Tasmanian tree ferns.

Did you plant the tree ferns or are they indigenous to the valley?

I suspect they were planted. But they are indigenous in this area. The Huon Valley borders the best temperate rainforest in the state - in the Hartz National Park and the South West Wilderness.
