Hi everyone, the Lidl bulb is growing well. I have 2 others from last year that are just all leaves atm (about 2ft tall!) Do I need to cut the leaves off or just be more patient? Any #advice welcome. Thanks 🙂💚

I’ve no idea, they’re a complete mystery to me Ange 🤔😂 my bulb from 2yrs ago started to grow two new babies which are now dead!

I'm pretty sure you shouldn't cut the leaves off as they will be feeding the bulb, but they're not something I know much about 🤔

I had one 2 years ago that flowered beautifully but last year I kept getting leaves but no buds at all. This year it’s doing nothing so I treated myself to some new ones

I had the 2 leafy ones last year and they both bloomed etc. I kept them in the hope they would flower again this year. I'll just have to be patient, hopefully they'll do something 🤞 @librarian

Def wouldn’t cut the leaves off if they are green. I grow mine differently to others as I aim for spring flowering. I tend to stop watering mine about October time to make it think it’s going dormant, then as they turn yellow I then cut them off. By then it’s usually Dec/Jan as they take ages to die back. I usually then leave it for about another 8 weeks (say end of Feb) and usually by then they start growing again. Although this year mine have started growing earlier - two have buds again 👍🏼

Agreed Alan 🙂 The first lidl I went to didn't have any but I bought the last 2 at the one in Southport this afternoon 😅 I got my mother in law one aswell plus a lovely red one for my mum from Marks and Spencer (which was only a fiver anyway, with a nicer pot!😄) Don't blame you Urszula!
