I use nemaslug as well, otherwise I'll end up like my mum and be out in the garden for an hour every night with a head torch and a bucket of salt!

Hosta's still snail and slug free. The moats seem to be doing the trick.

Have used copper tape I'm hoping that will work 👌🏻

@nessa i use it on all my pots but caught a snail sat on top of it the other night, so not sure if it's that effective.

Gosh, your hosta is much more forward than mine, looks stunning. late night snail patrol is the only thing that works here! 🐌

Wow great idea!... but isn't that too much moisture for the hosta to sit in? It looks amazing...

...I have the same hosta... bought it had completely died because it went mouldy and all the leaves went but then this Spring, even though I'd planted something new in its pot I was astounded to find it had re-grown!

@belindah I've sat it up so it's slightly clear of the water. When the summer comes I'll try it in the water , see how it goes.

I see Dave @davewrightjoinerygooglemail.co you use copper tape so do i. I did find last year it was the best for me at keeping slugs away do hopefully yours will also 🐌

@jadojado29 I've took a tip from Geoff @driftwood and put most of them on saucers full of water to form a moat. Got to be worth a try Suzie 😄

Some one else told me to stay WD 40 around the pot as well

@pixierose thank you. I've only ever bought one hosta, 12 years ago whilst on holiday in great Yarmouth, just keep dividing them . I've got loads now.
