Plantain Lily (Species) White Margined Wavy Plantain Lily

Hosta are popular perennials for shady areas. Grown for their architectual qualities and sumptuous foliage topped with lily-like blooms. The flowers appear in mid-summer. Hosta go completely dormant in the autumn, and the dying foliage can be removed any time before mid-spring. Easily divided in either spring or autumn. The dark green leaves of a young undulata Hosta undulata var. albomarginata is a species Hosta which has thin and smooth foliage but it develops a slight corrugation as it ages and the white margins blend into the green. Lavender flowers appear from mid-summer.
