@clipperty secrets in the pot its a textured pot so slugs don't touch it 👍😄 has a lovely sleep in til 6.30 this morning coffee in bed n then hopefully it stays dry n I can enjoy garden 😊

@gjones not one slimer nip thankfully, it is in a mottled pot on gravel so seems to be safe n kept in good health this year with washing up bowl water probably find a few spoons in pot when it dies off 😂😂😂

albomarginata is an old one with white edges. watch at garden center for one that looks like. there is a hosta database for id.on google. good luck

Oh wow. That's fab having nasty Leylandii cut down. Next door haven't touched theirs since I cut it last year but I gave it a severe enough "going over" to ensure the top and my side didn't grow back 😂

@nath198 this is the name of the hosta, it does go darker in summer not as vibrant as new growth, if you scroll to right should be a pic of it last summer too 👍

This has to be one of my fav hostas not sure which variety it is love the colour of the leaves. Wish they did host as in dark purple/reds would be great contrast against the green

How do you keep snails and slugs away

@greengrub hi I use coffee grounds right at the start of the season and keep them in pots too it has worked the last couple of years for me , I top dress at end of winter and then top dress with the coffee grounds

Really good foliage colour on this one 👌🏼
