Chuffed to see these shoots because this is a small bit that I divided & dug up last year, which can be risky to peonies. Phew! I don't expect flowers this year but it lives! The mother peony has tiny shoots now too, smaller but I guess deeper so. #shoots #peony

@Denise16 moving or dividing isn't a problem unless they are planted too deep

I moved this tiny peony a few months ago as it didn't bloom where it was as it was very sheltered by a buddleia. As it's turning red now, the leaves will fall soon. I think it's a good sign it has taken root in its new spot. Fingers crossed for baby shoots next year 🤞🏽#peony #movingplants #advicepeony

Mine is just starting to turn red Denise, they don't like to be moved so don't expect too much from it next year, the one I moved was a good size and the next year it wasn't happy at all, but this year it's done really well, you've also just reminded me that I've got a spindly hidden away one that I need to find a new spot for. 🌞😀🌞

Yes it did grow foliage Denise the first year after the move but nothing much compared to when it was in its previous place, next year I hope it'll have more flowers than this year. 🌞

Peony bush keeps very lush long after the blooms have fallen. The leaves are now starting to get their red edges🍂 hard to imagine it'll be completely gone for the year soon #peony
