@racha if you shape them from when they are young you can make any shape with them. ive done pyramids and a teddy bear 😂 but the male olive trees do better for trimming because there is no fruit

I planted a new species of olive today. This is my 4th species and it is called 'manzanillo' and is a giant compared to some of the other olive species i am growing. For being only a 2 gallon plant, this guy was huge. I am excited to see what it can do. I left it plenty of space to grow to full maturity, so it can also provide shade as well as fruit. My goal is to make my own olive oil that i can use for cooking, but if you know me, i will probably figure out some other uses for olives ✌ i want

to try to get a dozen varieties to make different types of olive oil and also mix them.
