It's a fungal disease called tar spot.

I kept it inside during winter, then took it outside as my cat loved digging up its roots. Bottom leaves fell off and now don't seem to be growing back. Do I cut off the brunches or leave them and hope for the best? #olivetree

@smeets it looks better now! I left the brunches and the leaves started to grow back so it's nice and bushy again!
