It was already here . We have been here 9 years . Difficult to know how long the wisteria has been here but probably over 50 years we think @rachelbrooks

I thought it looked well established! @junebensted they are a glorious plant and I would love one but I am always put off by the pruning 'rules' I am a bit scissor happy and would worry that I'm not doing it properly! 😬😬

It is pretty easy . You cut back to three new leaf stems on each branch after flowering . Simple! Being established ours can take hard pruning and still come back vigorously . This year though we had some die back after flowering ( we haven't cut back this year yet) but before the leaves came in . Don't know why but it caused some anxious moments in this household I can tell you ! We are keeping an eye on it ! @rachelbrooks
