@wagsmomthompsonbtinternetcom not a single one 🤣🤣🤣 this one hasn’t flowered before and only had a couple of tiny blooms on the white one last year. Hopefully it’ll get some buds soon 🤞🏻

@jeatacake it’s the better of the 3 so far but last year at this stage a late frost killed off all the foliage 😜 I’ll be fleecing it at the slightest hint of sub zero temperatures 🤣

Very cold winds can be just as bad if not worse for new leaves on most plants. I notice it mostly with runner beans, even long after the last frosts cold winds cripple them 😦

@jeatacake and we get plenty of those 🌬 it’s hard to try protect everything from every weather but the big statement plants look a mess even they’re hit hard 🙈

Just found a frazzled camellia this morning. Half the new leaves have gone crispy & dead. Can only be the very cold weather at the start of the week 😞 Fortunately my 2 wisterias seem to be unscathed, including the flower buds 🙏

@jeatacake flower buds 😍 I’m glad it’s ok but sorry about your camellia 😔 I hope you got to see the flowers before they crisped up 😜

That's looking very healthy. Any sign of flower buds?

@jeatacake sadly it no longer looks like this. The frost crisped up most of it 🙁 to be honest I can’t tell what is a flower bud or just foliage. Keep reading they take years to flower though and only got these last year. Sure I remember reading they’d flower the following year though 🤔

So sorry to hear that. Such a shame as the weather is perfect for them right now 😢 They do all vary in terms of how long each takes to flower. I bought a small one & it flowered the next year. Bought a big one & it took 4 years to flower for the first time (last year), but has a lot of buds right now.

@jeatacake was only this one too, the other 2 didn’t get touched 😕 oh wow, so it’s literally a guessing game as to when it’ll bother to bloom 🤣 they’re so gorgeous that they’re worth the wait 😁

They are worth it for sure, but moving my biggest (& then non-flowering one) to a different position where it gets more sun seemed to do the trick 👍

@gjones they’ve put on a lot of new growth since the rain has become more regular. And they seem happy on their arches. So fingers crossed they’ll be flowering next year 🤞🏼 hope @seclarke has as much luck with hers 😁

@gjones I really hope it’ll be next year. I read some wisteria takes years to flower but these were listed as guaranteed to flower the following year after purchase. Think the pink, white and blue all growing into each other will be lovely 🤞🏼

@gjones here’s hoping it works out as well in reality as in my head 😂
