Lolz 😂 @kaigia I’ve been growing one in water for ages and I’ve got as far as bringing some compost in and a pot but not put them together yet!! Thanks for reminding me. 😁👍🏼
@pixierose All the tasks we gardeners need to get done! 😊 The question is when is it a good time to do the dreaded job of chopping the head 😱! I did it too early the first time and now, it's growing a little lopsided.
@Outcast2099 Yes, I used the toothpick method. This is about one year old, but this one seems to be slow growing as I've seen others much taller than mine at the same age.
My Avocado plant is feeling the spring sun! It finally pushed out more than one stem with a chop to the main stem. March 2020

@kaigia I dread to think what mine will look like when it’s finally in the pot. Probably horizontal lolz 😂
I'm trying one for the first time
How did you start it? The toothpick method and held it onto of water?
@lesliecole49 Good luck! It's goes fast once the stem pokes out of the seed!🥑
@gjones Thanks! I'm looking forward to our summer weather to put it outside.
