@brightcolours thanks for letting me know!! Love these, so good and fun to do!! I've got a couple I'm trying to root at the mo, along with a couple of coconuts!!! I have to think where the hell in going to grow a coconut tree, if it does root!! @Nelly great work, hope you see a pineapple soon!! Interesting fact: did you know that the pineapple is made from all the flowers on the inflorescence joined together!! 😉😉
@Becky and @latebloomer start with buying a good sized pineapple with undamaged leaves if possible. Cut just the head off the pineapple. Some will then let the cut dry out for a week or so like a frangipani. I left mine for a few days. Pull the bottom few leaves off, then you will between the leaves, root nodes. Once you have a few of these vi
@Nelly thanks so much! Can't wait to try this. I just bought a halved pineapple so it might be awhile before I get to try though, wish I'd heard of this yesterday! 🍍
Grown from the top of a pineapple. Loves my north facing balcony. Shouldn't be to long before we have our first fruit.
You grew this from the top of a pineapple? Like you buy at the grocery market? I never knew that was possible!
Looking good!! #gyo #pineapple 🍍🍍🍍 @drnicko

@becky @latebloomer Visible then you can plant. I use any good potting mix you could buy plus peat for the drainage.
