Thank you both 😊 I will be asking loads as plants bloom this year as I haven't a clue, it used to be a flower nursery so things just keep appearing all through the year lol 😊
@justin I've read some of your caution about the invasiveness of Acanthus which I've also read in gardening books but I love the look of this plant- would planting it in a buried pot help contain it or even as a patio plant in a pot? 😁
I really don't know if that's possible or not. I do like this plant but it is a real thug and will swamp everything else in its path. Two years down the line I'm still fighting it and some of the roots go deeper than i have with my spade and believe you me I've dug down about 3ft and it's still throwing up new leaves!! I would avoid putting it in the ground unless you don't mind it engulfing a specific area
