Pineapple top from the grocer. Del Monte Gold extra sweet pineapple rooted in water spring 2018 and I haven't killed it yet. #pineapple #pineapple-propagation

Thanks @gjones it was completely neglected over the winter but seems very happy to finally be watered

Potted this two days ago @mojosmomma , the roots grew 3-4 inches in water. Not sure why some leaves turned brown but there is new growth in the center. #pineapple-propagation #pineapple

@ambitiouswolf yep. It's a Del Monte Gold pineapple from the grocer. Swipe right on the pic and you'll see the top in water.

I didn’t put mine in water like that. Mine went straight into a pot. It might be adjusting to pot life. Could be shock. Is it getting enough sun?

@ambitiouswolf you may he onto something. It's in a window with very little light. I'll move.it to a brighter light. Txs.

@petitelake did the pineapple ever start to root ? I tried one and it never took just curious!
