Thanks @gjones @dan5584 I just started companion planting last year to pull together gardens rather than just planting a plant. I really like the spring pinks, purples and a splash of white in this garden.

I've had these for years and never knew they closed up at night. I love that the GTags community has inspired me to garden and not just plant a plant.

@gjones I just learned that all my peonies I've had for over 20 years came from Poland when my family immigrated to the US in the early 1900s. Do you think that is possible or maybe just a family story.

It is possible!! @petitelake Peonies can have a lifespan of 100+ years!!!

I have well established peonies (large leaf) and some newly gifted peonies (small leaf). Does anyone know if the difference in the leaves is just the plant age or are they different kinds. And if they are different do they need different care?

Thanks @cyndi @gjones all the #peony plants are budding. I suspect we are another 2 weeks out till they bloom. Can't wait to see the color reveal.

@cyndi not sure, I divide them by their tubers. Want a small root? It may take a few years before you get blooms.

@cyndi I just looked it up and yes you can harvest peony seeds in the spring and plant in the fall. I'll send you some roots now and if we can remember, some seeds in the spring.
