I love my garden. It really is my therapeutic place to go. I love grasses, ferns and cannas along with the usual suspects and some bedding plants

Trachycarpus fortunei syn. Chamaerops fortunei, Chamaerops excelsa

Not only do I not know what this plant is I’m not sure what’s wrong with it. The tips of the leaves are black even as they first emerge.

Hi Steven. Welcome to this great gardening community 👋 Your plant is a type of palm, I believe, so the best people to help you with identification and care are Angie and Dave 🤞 @angiecrazycatlady @porto Good luck and enjoy using the app! 😀

It's a trachycarpus fortunei I think, as can't see the trunk very well, if it's hairy then definitely a trachycarpus. Have you fed it lately? Liquid seaweed or palm focus will be good 👍

@stevenbingley hi, it's a #trachycarpus and the black tip could be frost damage instead of lack of water or feeding with is more black spotting, but I'd give it a good water and feed. Hope that's a help, 👍🌴

Thanks angiecrazycatlady and porto. I’ve got two smaller ones that are really struggling. Leaves are dying and falling off like there’s no tomorrow. Would you recommend food and water for them also?
