Time for a update. Been here for 5 years now so the garden is no longer brand new. It’s still windy, it’s still stony and I still have so many plans.

Olea europaea

#plantstory here’s an Olive tree I was given when I left a much loved job 20 years ago. Great memories of the adults and children I worked with. It’s still very much a baby but it’s grown such a lot. Two years ago I decided to cloud prune it and it’s going okay but needs a clip but I’ll do it after flowering. I won’t be around to see it get old and gnarled but maybe one of the family will take or on. 💚

Cloud pruning year 2. Not sure how the plant feels but I find the cutting a bit distressing, However it is thickening up well and is looking so much better than it’s old straggly self.

It was looking so sad last year @sadieberg it was time for desperate measures.

Hi @Diane76 hope it’s subsiding somewhat by now. It continued to be fairly windy until about 12 and now we have a glorious day🌤
