Wow! Are wallflowers requiring a cold period to flower? I'm wondering why I've never seen them here in eastern #Canada. I'm thinking the cold spell we would give it here would kill it.

I don't know @MelanieAt mine has survived snowfall over here but we are never really cold for too long.

Yeah we get -20c's here easy. I saw a friend of mine started some from seed and they survived our winter (at least one) so I'll have to check it out.

This little beauty is one of my favourites and it loves its position in full sun on the boundary of my garden. The ground beyond the wall it sits on is what my housing association and the local council call 'no man's land' and it's full of rubble from the old Birchills foundry/power station but I'm hoping to get around to prepare and #plant this waste ground with some #wildflowers and maybe some other #wildlife friendly goodies! 🌱🌼 #wallflower #perennial

The butterflies love this #plant and it just keeps on flowering. In fact there isn't a month in the year when there aren't #flowers on it.
