In just a few days the roots have taken off and the shoot as well... this is the larger avocado.

Where are u from ? U think this would work in New Hampshire

I'm in lower Alabama. Starting indoors shouldn't be a problem. Once I transplant to potting soil I move them outside. You would have to check on how much cold weather they can stand.

@crabby58 Waiting for the pit to split took a few weeks, once that happened it was maybe 3 weeks before it was this tall. But it has stopped growing. It's still alive and all leaves are there.
