Wow yesterday they were just poking out & today they're about 3" high

@Carlyn57 I bought them on clearance about a week ago & wasn't really expecting much out of them especially this soon. I'm ecstatic, I've always wanted to grow asparagus

Awesome!! I am starting fruit/vegetables too..but am new to it. #LOVE #asparagus. ..are these from seeds? Or do you plant store bought shoots directly into the ground? They Look healthy!!

@casscass you buy the roots but you probably won't find any this time of year. That's why I got them on clearance, they're supposed to be planted in spring. Also it takes 4-5yrs before you can harvest so pay attention to what you're buying. My roots I bought are 2yr old roots so I still have a couple years before I can harvest.

I got asparagus poking out! I bought a couple bags on clearance a week or two ago & I'm so happy they're coming up! I'll be eatn good in a couple years, haha
