We have our first branch coming off of our avocado tree! It's been 1 year since I started this from seed. My baby is growing up! #avocado #iloveplants #indoor-plants

My avocado tree is looking good! I have hundreds of plants. But for some reason I'm more proud of growing this than any other plant. #avocado #fromseed

Ok the internet sources say to cut this to 6 inches (top third). My husband says just to let it grow as it would in nature. It took so long to get to this point. Should I really cut it? Has anyone on here done it? #help #avocado

Ok thanks @cyndi this is very helpful. I think I'll just let it grow. I appreciate the feedback!

So exciting!! I started my first one about 10 days ago. I’m going to do it to the two avocados I bought today, too!

@ecoami it takes weeks to get a root. Don't give up. Next I think I'm going to try growing a pineapple from the top!

I want to try that, too! @mandycoy

It's amazing this experiment but you need a lot of patience because it will grow very slowly ☺️

@mandycoy One trick, you should change water frequently 😄
