Planted my avocado tree in dirt today!

Ok the internet sources say to cut this to 6 inches (top third). My husband says just to let it grow as it would in nature. It took so long to get to this point. Should I really cut it? Has anyone on here done it? #help #avocado

So exciting!! I started my first one about 10 days ago. I’m going to do it to the two avocados I bought today, too!

@ecoami it takes weeks to get a root. Don't give up. Next I think I'm going to try growing a pineapple from the top!

It's amazing this experiment but you need a lot of patience because it will grow very slowly ☺️

No, only i have a lot of patience and change the water 2 or 3 days. 😄😄
