They are deciduous, but also might be a bit constricted in the pot. See those long whippy stems on the right? Prune them back to about the length of your arm from fingers to elbow. And in late winter/early spring prune them further back to the length of your hand (flowers only appear on the first 2 or 3 buds). If you want to train it up a wall don't prune them as they will become the structure of the plant. YouTube has lots of films 👍
