More leaves opening up
Wow! Did you grow it from a grocery store pit? I've tried a few and never had much luck.
@570upcycle I tried several in water & just gave up on them but I have about 7 plants that grew in my compost, so maybe try throwing your pits in the compost if you have one. Then you don't have to bother with them & nature will handle it for you. Good luck!
Actually I would have way more than seven but the first few I dug up I didn't realize how deep the taproots were & damaged them, so if you succeed with growing them in the compost bin remember to dig deep & I mean deep to get them out.
Haha! That's great, I'll give it a try!
Yes its my 2nd from store brought to water to soil. I just love watching them grow, this new one has many more little leaves sprouting off the stem that's good I guess the last one only sprouted at the very top. 😊
I alwats peel the brown skin first

Nice!! 👍I tried growing avocado from a pit of an avocado I bought. I tried the toothpick/water method and it just didn't take... 😕 After seeing yours I'm tempted to try again!!
This is my second one my 1st grew over 4ft but I cut it down a couple and it didn't regrow the last time and is still the same but withering away
You have to take the thin outside skin off before putting it in the water this one I started in water and put it in dirt once the root was about 2 inches and I could see a stem starting to come up thru the crack to top
