I would had to start it in a vase of water.

I grow almost everything in water but avocados @kelsey I have grown avocados for over 20 yrs. The best way that has worked for me is to grow them in soil. Just like the one in the photo. The only thing that i have to worry about it are the darn squirrels. They love to run off with avocado seeds.

Bring the seeds indoors.

Why thank u @columbiariver ive had a great deal of success with this method. Going to try and grow it like a bonsai. (Probably need a smaller variety to be successful) but any who its a fun seed to grow. 😋

It looks as if it were slim on edible flesh tho -- "now with 3x the pit conpared to other alligator pears and 1/3 of the fat calories!"
